Write with us.

 We are looking for articles and tips to publish in our quarterly digital magazine for elementary school librarians.

If you have an article proposal or a tip to share, please email a brief summary via this submission form.

We currently pay $400 for articles and $40 for tips. Payment will be made upon publication of the article or tip.

Articles must:

  • Be 1000-1500 words

  • Include at least 6 color photos, with no student faces visible (they can be blurred in a photo editing program like Canva)

  • Include an author bio, which can link to your social media, with a photo of yourself

  • Focus on a topic helpful to elementary school librarians, including: advice for a new school librarian, research skills and projects, reading promotion, library skills lessons, STEM/STEAM/Makerspace, advocacy, funding (grants, fundraisers, and budgeting) or recently released book titles (must include library lesson ideas)

Tips

  • Be 50-100 words

  • Include at least 1 color photo, with no student faces visible (they can be blurred in a photo editing program like Canva)

  • Include an author bio, which can link to your social media

  • Focus on a topic that is both helpful to elementary school librarians and tested and proven in your school library

Completed articles and tips are due as follows

  • 5/1/26 for our 2026 Back to School Issue

  • 8/1/26 for our 2026 Fall Issue

  • 11/1/26 for our 2027 Winter Issue

  • 2/1/27 for our 2027 Spring Issue
